My daughters pediatrician keeps informing me that it is just a clogged tear duct. She is 7-months old and l swear it is getting worse. Poor thing can not even open her eye all the way. When she wakes up it is completely glued shut with goop. l have used a few different drops but they do nothing except make her little eye look worse. It gets so bad that it looks raw. Is this normal or do l go over my pediatrician is head and find a pediatric ophthalmologist? It is starting to look weak and lazy...if there is something l can do NOW to prevent her eye from being lazy in the future then l would be up for it!
I am in Ventura County so if anyone knows of a specialist in the area l would love names.
i do use warm wash cloths but it is just a temporary fix for a few minutes....it goops right back up
forgot to add that this has been going to since she was about 1 month old.
Okay, so l could not sit here and wonder any longer!l took her to the ER...my neighbor is a nurse there and she got us right in to see the NP on duty...she has a scratched cornea which got infected! So glad l went with my gut!
Thanks to everyones advise!
