After an accident l was partially blinded in one eye. The ophthalmologist said l have a blood clot in one of my nerves and that it is untreatable. Is it really? Ca not the clot be removed?
On a TV show l watched, there was a woman blinded by an accident as well but surgery was available though the success rate was very slim.
Did the doctor l saw just say it was impossible because it was unlikely or can my clot really be removed?

My vision is 20/40 corrected, l think. And I've been this way for a little over a year.

The clot can probably be removed one way or another, but in the process do more harm than good. It is best to listen to the doctor that examined you.

If it has been a year since your injury there is no more blood clot.
Get a second opinion as to what is causing the 20/40 vision if you have any question about the first doctor is opinion.
